HOW SCORING WORKS
Each factor adds or subtracts points from a running score.
Bullish signals add points Β· Bearish signals subtract points.
The weight you set here is the maximum Β± points that factor can contribute.

Example: RSI Daily = 2 β†’ oversold RSI adds +2 pts, overbought subtracts βˆ’2 pts.
Set a weight to 0 to disable that factor entirely.

Score thresholds: Strong Buy β‰₯ 5 Β· Buy β‰₯ 2.5 Β· Neutral Β· Sell ≀ βˆ’2.5 Β· Strong Sell ≀ βˆ’5

Signal Scoring
πŸ“Š
Index Universes
Choose from S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, Dow Jones 30, or Russell 2000 from the Universe dropdown. Each index loads its full constituent list and fetches live technical data. Russell 2000 uses the FMP screener filtered to $300M–$2B market cap.
🏭
Sector Universes
Select any of the 11 S&P 500 sectors (Technology, Financials, Energy, etc.) to screen only within that sector. Great for relative-strength comparisons inside a single industry group.
πŸ”
Stock Screener β–Έ
Build a custom stock universe by filtering on Exchange (NYSE/NASDAQ/AMEX), Sector, Market Cap range, Price range, Beta max, and Country. Only stocks passing all criteria are scanned.
πŸ“ˆ
ETF Screener β–Έ
Screen across ETFs by market cap and price range. Useful for scanning broad-market funds, sector ETFs, or thematic products for technical setups.
✏️
Custom Tickers
Type a comma or space-separated list of any tickers (e.g. AAPL NVDA TSLA) to scan exactly those stocks. Ideal for watchlists or portfolio monitoring.
β–Ά
Running a Scan
Click β–Ά SCREEN to fetch live data for your selected universe. A progress bar shows loading status. Click RESET to clear all results and start over.
πŸ’‘
Start with a large index like the S&P 500, run the scan, then use Signal Chips and Results Filters to drill down β€” rather than pre-filtering the universe too tightly before scanning.
🎯
Composite Score
Every stock receives a composite score built from RSI momentum, pattern detections (VCP, Inside Bar, TTM Squeeze, Bull Flag), and gap signals. The score maps to one of five signals: STRONG BUY, BUY, NEUTRAL, SELL, or STRONG SELL.
🏷
Signal Chips
The chip row below the controls filters the results table to show only stocks matching that signal. Click ALL SIGNALS to reset. Only one chip can be active at a time. The count in the stats bar updates live.
βš™οΈ
Customising Weights (βš™)
Click the gear icon at the right of the chip row to open the Weights modal. Drag sliders or type values to control how much each indicator contributes to the score. Higher weight = more influence on the final signal.
πŸ“
RSI Weights
Separate weight controls for Daily, Weekly, and Monthly RSI momentum. Increase weekly/monthly weights to favour longer-term momentum alignment over short-term noise.
πŸ”²
Pattern Weights
Individual weights for Inside Bar, TTM Squeeze, VCP, and Bull Flag across each timeframe (D/W/M). Zero out any pattern you don't trade. Click β–Ά APPLY & RESCORE to recalculate all signals instantly.
β†Ί
Restore Defaults
Click RESTORE DEFAULTS in the weights modal to reset all sliders to their factory values. Useful if you want to compare your custom setup against the baseline scoring system.
πŸ’‘
If you primarily trade weekly setups, try boosting the Weekly RSI and Weekly pattern weights to 2Γ— or 3Γ— their defaults. The score will then heavily favour stocks with weekly-timeframe confirmation.
πŸ”
Search & Sector
Type one or more tickers in Search Tickers (comma-separated) to instantly filter the table. Use the Sector dropdown to restrict results to a single GICS sector. Both filters stack.
πŸ“‰
RSI Range
Toggle on the D / W / M switches and enter a min–max range (0–100) to keep only stocks whose RSI falls within your target zone on that timeframe. Enable all three to require RSI alignment across all timeframes.
〰️
RSI vs SMA
Filters on the spread between RSI and its SMA (range: βˆ’100 to +100). A positive value means RSI is above its moving average (bullish momentum). Toggle D/W/M independently.
πŸ’Ή
Volume & Price
Set a min/max price range to exclude penny stocks or high-priced names. Set a volume ratio min (e.g. 1.5 = 150% of average) to require elevated volume. Price and volume filters apply independently.
⬆️
Gap Filters
Toggle D/W/M gap detection and select Any, Gap Up, or Gap Down. A gap is detected when the open is significantly above/below the prior close on that timeframe's candle.
🏷
Pattern Filters
Toggle Inside Bars, TTM Squeeze, VCP, and Bull Flag per timeframe. Only stocks where that specific pattern is currently active will be shown. Multiple patterns stack as AND conditions.
🏷
Active Filter Tags
Every active filter appears as a blue tag below the filter bar. Click the βœ• on any tag to remove just that filter, or click βœ• CLEAR to reset all results filters at once.
πŸ’‘
Combine Signal chip: BUY + Weekly RSI 50–70 + Weekly TTM Squeeze ON to surface stocks in confirmed uptrends that are coiling before a potential breakout.
πŸ–±
Opening the Panel
Click any row in the results table to open the Detail Panel on the right. It slides in without leaving the page. Click anywhere outside the panel, or the βœ• button, to close it.
πŸ“Š
Mini Price Chart
The top of the panel shows a price + volume mini chart for the stock. Click the chart to open the full Pattern Chart modal for a larger view with log/linear toggle and copy-to-clipboard.
πŸ”’
Indicator Grid
Shows key stats: RSI (D/W/M), RSI vs SMA delta, volume ratio, price change, market cap, beta, and more. Green values are bullish, red bearish, relative to typical thresholds.
βœ…
Signal Breakdown
The Signal Breakdown section lists every active pattern and indicator contributing to the stock's score. Click any clickable row (marked with πŸ“Š on hover) to open its pattern chart directly.
πŸ“€
Share / Copy
Click the share icon in the signal breakdown header to copy a formatted text summary of the stock's signals to your clipboard β€” ready to paste into Slack, notes, or a trade journal.
πŸ”—
Research Links
The bottom of the panel provides quick links to TradingView, Finviz, SEC filings, and other research sources for the ticker β€” opens in a new tab.
πŸ’‘
In the full pattern chart, use the LOG button to toggle between logarithmic and linear price scale. Log scale is better for stocks that have moved significantly in price. Press βŒ₯S (Mac) or Alt+S (PC) to copy the chart or signal breakdown as an image.
↕️
Sorting
Click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort direction. The active sort column is highlighted in green. Default sort is by composite score (highest first).
πŸ‘
Column Picker
Click the COLUMNS button at the top-right of the table to show/hide individual columns. Toggle checkboxes for RSI (D/W/M), RSI vs SMA, Inside Bar, TTM Squeeze, VCP, Bull Flag, and Gap columns.
πŸ“Š
RSI Bar Visuals
RSI values are shown with a colour-coded bar underneath. Green = bullish territory (above 50), red = bearish, yellow = neutral. The fill length reflects the RSI value on a 0–100 scale.
πŸ“¦
Pattern Badges
Pattern columns (IB, TTM, VCP, FLAG, GAP) show coloured signal badges when a pattern is active. A dash (–) means no pattern detected on that timeframe. D = Daily, W = Weekly, M = Monthly.
πŸ“‹
Stats Bar
The stats bar above the table shows total stocks loaded, how many are currently visible after filters, count of Strong Buy signals, and the timestamp of the last data fetch.
πŸ”’
Table Footer
The footer shows the count of displayed rows vs total results. Useful to confirm your filters are working as expected β€” if you see 0 rows, try relaxing a filter.
πŸ’‘
Sort by Score to bubble up the strongest multi-timeframe setups, then sort by Vol Ratio to find stocks with unusual volume confirmation on today's move.

score ≀ βˆ’5
Every indicator adds or subtracts points. The weight you set in the gear modal is the maximum Β± points that factor can contribute. All weighted contributions are summed into a single score, which is then mapped to the signal above.
How weights scale each factor
Each factor can contribute +weight (bullish), βˆ’weight (bearish), or 0 (not triggered).
Some factors use half-weight for weaker readings (e.g. RSI in the 60–70 range vs. above 70).
Setting any weight to 0 disables that factor entirely β€” it contributes nothing to the score.
Increasing a weight makes that factor more decisive; the signal will swing more strongly based on it alone.

RSI Momentum
Evaluated independently on Daily, Weekly, and Monthly timeframes.

RSI < 30 β†’ full +weight (oversold, bullish)
RSI 30–40 β†’ half +weight
RSI 40–60 β†’ 0 points (neutral zone)
RSI 60–70 β†’ half βˆ’weight
RSI > 70 β†’ full βˆ’weight (overbought, bearish)
πŸ”²
Inside Bar (IB)
Triggered when the most recent candle's entire range (high and low) is contained within the previous candle's range β€” a classic compression signal.

Direction is set by the mother bar (the containing bar): if the mother bar closed higher than it opened β†’ Bull IB (+weight); if it closed lower β†’ Bear IB (βˆ’weight).

Higher weights are assigned to longer timeframes since a monthly IB represents more significant compression.
🟑
TTM Squeeze
Based on Bollinger Bands sitting inside Keltner Channels β€” a sign that volatility has compressed.

Squeeze ON (building): BB inside KC for β‰₯2 bars β†’ small +build weight added (bullish coiling).

Squeeze FIRE β–²: BB just broke outside KC with bullish momentum histogram β†’ full +fire weight.

Squeeze FIRE β–Ό: broke out with bearish histogram β†’ full βˆ’fire weight.
πŸ“
VCP (Volatility Contraction)
Looks for a series of progressively narrowing price ranges with declining volume over ~60 bars β€” the Mark Minervini pattern.

Requires: β‰₯2 price contractions of at least 15% per segment, volume declining across segments, and overall volume contraction >15% vs. the opening segment.

VCP is always bullish when detected β€” adds its full weight to the score.
🚩
Bull / Bear Flag
A two-part pattern: a sharp pole move (β‰₯7% in 5–15 bars with elevated volume) followed by an orderly flag consolidation (5–20 bars, ≀55% retracement of the pole, declining volume).

Bull Flag: pole is a rally, flag drifts lower β†’ +weight.
Bear Flag: pole is a selloff, flag drifts higher β†’ βˆ’weight.

The flag must end within the last 3 bars to be considered active.
↗️
Moving Averages
Price is compared to four MAs on each timeframe (SMA 50, SMA 200, EMA 8, EMA 21). Each MA where price > MA adds a small +weight (default 0.3) to the score.

This means a stock trading above all 12 MAs across D/W/M earns up to +3.6 points from MA positioning alone β€” a meaningful structural bonus for strongly trending stocks.
⬆️
Gap Detection
A true price gap requires the current candle's full range to not overlap at all with the prior candle (gap up: current low > prior high; gap down: current high < prior low), with a minimum gap of β‰₯1%.

Gaps are shown in the detail panel and table but do not currently contribute to the composite score β€” they are informational only.
〰️
RSI Divergence
Detects divergence between price pivots and RSI pivots across Daily, Weekly, and Monthly timeframes.

Regular Bullish: price makes a lower low, RSI makes a higher low β†’ bullish reversal signal.
Hidden Bullish: price makes a higher low, RSI makes a lower low β†’ bullish continuation.
Regular Bearish: price makes a higher high, RSI makes a lower high β†’ bearish reversal.
Hidden Bearish: price makes a lower high, RSI makes a higher high β†’ bearish continuation.

Hidden divergences are weighted at 50% of Regular divergences. The RSI DIV column shows the most recent (lowest timeframe) active divergence. Lookback parameters are configurable in the βš™ gear modal under Signal Parameters.
πŸ’‘
Monthly timeframes carry the highest default weights across RSI, IB, VCP, and Flag β€” because longer-timeframe signals are considered more structurally significant. If you're a short-term trader, consider increasing daily weights and reducing monthly ones in the βš™ gear modal.
